Stand-up pouches are commonly used packaging materials and play a vital role in maintaining product freshness and extending shelf life. The choice of materials is crucial to the production of stand-up bags. AL and VMPET are two commonly used materials with different properties and characteristics. This article aims to compare the differences between AL and VMPET to better understand their differences.

In the production of stand-up pouches, choosing the right material is crucial to ensuring the quality and freshness of the product. AL and aluminum plating are two commonly used materials for stand-up bags, each with its own characteristics.

1.Corrosion resistance: AL has excellent corrosion resistance, effectively preventing oxygen, moisture and other external factors from corroding the product. This feature allows the stand-up pouch to better maintain the freshness and quality of the product. In comparison, VMPET is slightly less resistant to corrosion because it consists of only a thin layer of aluminum.

2. Thermal conductivity: AL has good thermal conductivity and can quickly transfer heat into the bag, thereby achieving better thermal insulation performance. This is very important for products requiring temperature stability. However, due to the thin coating, the thermal conductivity of VMPET is relatively poor.

3. Appearance: AL has a shiny and metallic appearance, giving people a high-end impression and excellent texture. On the other hand, VMPET can be dyed or printed according to specific needs, providing more diverse and personalized options for stand-up pouches.

4. Flexibility: Pure aluminum is relatively soft and is more suitable for use in food, medicine, and chemical products. Some electronic and mechanical parts are often used in aluminum foil bags due to sealing requirements. Aluminum plating is relatively hard, so aluminized bags are mostly used for fast products.

AL and aluminized aluminum are two commonly used materials for stand-up bags, which differ in corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity and appearance. AL has excellent corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity, making it suitable for products requiring freshness and temperature stability. VMPET provides more options for appearance customization to meet the personalized needs of different products. When choosing stand-up pouch materials, it is important to consider the specific characteristics and requirements of the product and make an appropriate choice.

How to distinguish whether the stand-up bag material is AL or VMPET?

1. You can shine a flashlight on the bag. The one that can transmit light is VMPET, and the one that cannot transmit light is AL.

2. Can pass the burning test. AL is not easy to burn and rolls up easily, leaving behind aluminum slag. After VMPET is ignited, a variety of plastic film materials may burn without leaving any residue.
